En Dynamics CRM 4.0 existían varias herramientas que pemiten ver la estructura de campos de cada una de las entidades.

Para Dynamics CRM 2011, Rhett Clinton diseño esta solución en Silverlight que permite ver todas las entidades, los campos de cada una de ellas y además permite exportarlo a Excel.

DESCARGAR EL CRM 2011 METADATA BROWSER

El Archivo es un *.Zip que se instala como una solución en el CRM.  Una vez instalada la solución, va a encontrar en Configuración > Personalización.  una nueva opción que es este Navegador de los Metadatos.  En el caso nuestro el Icono aparece como Desconocido1322

Importante:  Si tiene IFD habilitado debe ingresar con la dirección Https del IFD. Ej:  https://miorg.crmcol.com:444

Un botón para Cierre Masivo de Actividades

¿Gran cantidad de actividades para cerrar? .

Existe la posibilidad que su CRM haya coleccionado muchos registros de actividades (Citas, tareas, llamadas…) que deberían cerrarse masivamente.

La opcion normal es indicarle a los usuarios que las cierren una por una, lo cual puede requerir mucho tiempo. Pruebe instalar en el Servidor CRM un boton para cerrar las actividades en forma masiva:

1. Abra el enlace http://www.crmbricks.com/AddonPortrait.aspx?id=ActivityCloser
2. Aplique el boton ‘Download & test‘. Se instalará el boton ‘Activity closer’ para version 4.0.
3. Se abrirá un asistente con los nombres de las Organizaciones. Seleccione una, donde va a instalar el boton Activity Closer. Aplique ‘Continue’.

4. Ejecute los pasos de instalacion hasta que termine en ‘Add-on: ActivityCloser’:

5. En CRM. Ingrese como Usuario Administrador. Busque las opciones ‘Configuracion’, ‘Administracion’,  ‘Configuracion del sistema’. Se abrirá un asistente:

6. Seleccione ‘Customization’. Luego vaya a ‘Custom menus and toolbars’, seleccione ‘Web application’, luego ‘Ok’ dos veces, para confirmar el cambio:

7. Ha activado el boton ‘Close Activities’. En CRM vaya al ‘Area de trabajo’ y luego por ‘Actividades’, podrá ver un boton nuevo en la barra de registros:

8. Esta listo para usar. Seleccione varias actividades, luego aplique el boton ‘Close Activities’. Todas las actividades marcadas cerrarán automáticamente y aparecerá luego un mensaje de confirmación:

Configurable Data Integration and Migration Software

Scribe Internal Database 
The Scribe Internal database is a Microsoft SQL Server or Microsoft SQL 2005 Express Edition database that is used by all other Scribe components. The database contains settings, process execution history, error logs, and so on. 

Scribe Insight Server
The Scribe Insight server uses Windows services to provide automated integration processes and system monitoring. The Insight server also includes Scribe Workbench and Scribe Console components. 

Scribe Workbench
The Scribe Workbench provides a rich graphical environment in which data translations can be designed, tested and manually run. These data translations can be saved as data translation specification (.dts) files, which are the fundamental building blocks of Scribe Insight processes. After the Scribe Insight server has been installed and configured, the Scribe Workbench can be installed on any workstation on your network. 

Scribe Console
The Scribe Console is a Microsoft Management Console (MMC) -based application providing a user interface for configuring and managing automated integration processes on the Insight server. The Scribe Console can be installed independently from the rest of the product, and can be configured to connect to a Scribe Insight server on your network or over the Internet.

Scribe Web server
The Scribe Web server lets the Scribe Console access the Scribe Insight server over the Internet and allows XML data to be received via HTTP. 

Scribe adapters
Scribe adapters provide an interface to a specific application or technology. Scribe has a full suite of adapters for the leading front office and back office applications. The adapters are included as part of the Scribe Insight installation.
